Senior Salesforce Developer - Apex/Visual Force

Role Overview :

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will be at the core of designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions. You will work closely with architects, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of robust, high-performance, and maintainable solutions on the Force.com platform. This role requires a deep technical understanding of Salesforce development best practices, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Salesforce Development & Customization :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications on the Salesforce Lightning Platform.

- Build Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, schedulable classes, and future methods following Salesforce governor limits and performance best practices.

- Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components for dynamic, responsive UI experiences.

- Create custom Visualforce pages where needed for legacy support and specific business

workflows.

2. System Architecture & Design :

- Participate in solution architecture discussions, contributing to data modeling, security design, and integration strategy.

- Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and Salesforce capabilities, providing best-fit technical recommendations.

- Ensure designs are scalable, secure, and aligned with Salesforce architectural principles.

3. Integration & API Development :

- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations between Salesforce and external systems (ERP, marketing platforms, payment gateways, etc.).

- Implement middleware-based integrations using tools like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or custom APIs.

- Troubleshoot and optimize existing integrations for performance and reliability.

4. Quality Assurance & Testing :

- Write unit tests with a minimum of 75% code coverage as per Salesforce standards.

- Support system testing, UAT, and production deployment activities.

- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and maintainability.

5. Maintenance, Support & Continuous Improvement :

- Maintain and upgrade existing Salesforce applications, ensuring security patches and platform updates are applied timely.

- Monitor system performance and recommend optimization strategies.

- Train and mentor junior developers, ensuring team knowledge growth.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Education :

- B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Technical Skills :

Mandatory :

- Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, and Schedulable Classes.

- Lightning Web Components (LWC) & Aura Components.

- Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce Security Model.

- Salesforce Developer Console, Force.com IDE, and Migration Tool.

- API development & integration (REST, SOAP).

- Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits and performance optimization techniques.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Salesforce DX for version control and CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with Salesforce Shield and data encryption mechanisms.

- Experience in Salesforce AppExchange app development.

- Exposure to data structures, algorithms, and relational database concepts.

- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks for advanced UI development.

- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Experience :

- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.

- Experience working with international clients and multi-time zone teams is preferred.
