Senior Release Engineer - RHEL/QEMU/Linux Environment

We are seeking a skilled Senior Release Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with both on-prem and cloud-based deployment and management, with a focus on RHEL/Rocky Linux environments. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex CI/CD pipelines, packaging, automating deployments, and ensuring the smooth integration of various tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- On-prem/cloud deployment and management of RHEL/Rocky Linux systems.

- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases.

- Expertise in RPM packaging and building within isolated environments (e.g., Mock).

- Package signing and managing package dependencies.

- Gitea management for repositories, packages, runners, and issue tracking.

- Administer and maintain libvirt, QEMU, osbuild, and related tools for building and managing virtual machines and cloud environments.

- Automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible (including writing modular playbooks and using Event-Driven Ansible for automation).

- Integrate Ansible tasks into CI/CD workflows, including GitHub/Gitea Actions.

- Ensure cloud security best practices and the establishment of levels of trust for both on-prem and cloud-based deployments.

- Work closely with development teams to streamline build and release processes.

- Collaborate with other engineers to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize systems in production.

- Knowledge of .NET/ASP.NET Core and PostgreSQL on RHEL/Rocky Linux is a plus.

- Produce and maintain detailed documentation for release processes and workflows.

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
