We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Tester to lead and execute quality assurance and validation activities for the upgrade of OpenText ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) from version 15 to version 25.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise in ALM/QC, strong understanding of pharma regulatory compliance (GxP, CSV), and the ability to work closely with cross-functional upgrade, infrastructure, and validation teams to ensure a compliant and high-quality system upgrade.

This role demands ownership of validation strategy, execution, defect management, and documentation, with a strong focus on data integrity, integrations, and regulatory readiness.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and execute QA and validation activities for OpenText ALM upgrade from v15 to v25.

- Collaborate with ALM upgrade, migration, infrastructure, and validation teams to define test strategy, scope, and timelines.

- Validate successful migration of projects, users, workflows, configurations, and customizations.

- Perform and oversee smoke, sanity, and regression testing on upgraded environments.

- Perform in-depth testing of core ALM modules :

1. Requirements

2. Test Plan

3. Test Lab

4. Defects

5. Dashboards & Reporting

- Validate functionality of :

1. ALM Client Launcher

2. Excel Add-in

3. Web Client

- Test SCCM and Intune deployment packages for ALM Client Launcher and Excel Add-in across enterprise endpoints.

- Validate integrations with external tools such as UFT and other testing/automation tools.

- Ensure data integrity, including :

1. Historical test assets

2. Attachments

3. Audit trails and logs

- Validate standard and custom reports and dashboards post-upgrade.

- Ensure ALM upgrade complies with GxP and CSV (Computer System Validation) requirements.

- Lead and execute IQ, OQ, and PQ activities, including :

1. Test execution

2. Evidence collection

3. Traceability

- Author, review, and maintain validation documentation in line with pharma regulatory standards.

- Support audits and inspections by providing validation evidence and system compliance details.

- Perform basic performance validation of upgraded ALM environment.

- Validate user roles, permissions, access controls, and security configurations.

- Assess risks related to upgrade and provide mitigation recommendations.

- Log, triage, and manage upgrade-related defects in ALM.

- Work closely with technical teams to drive root cause analysis and resolution.

- Provide clear status reporting and QA sign-off recommendations to stakeholders.

- Mentor junior QA members and review test artifacts for quality and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8- 15 years of experience in QA, validation, or test management, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with OpenText ALM / Quality Center (v15 or higher).

- Deep understanding of ALM modules, workflows, and configurations.

- Proven experience with :

1. Test case authoring, execution, and defect management

2. Upgrade or migration testing

3. Data and integration validation

- Strong knowledge of GxP, CSV, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and documentation.

- Experience validating enterprise desktop deployments (Client Launcher, Excel Add-ins).

- Working knowledge of SQL for backend verification and data checks.

- Familiarity with Change Management processes and tools such as ServiceNow.

Nice-to-Have :

- Prior experience in OpenText ALM upgrades or migrations.

- WAST (Windows Application Software Testing) experience for packaged applications.

- Exposure to automation tools integrated with ALM (e., UFT).
