Job Description :

Terralogic is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in Python automation, infrastructure testing, x86 hardware, virtualization, and Linux systems. The ideal candidate will take end-to-end ownership of product quality, automation, validation, and debugging for distributed systems and infrastructure products.

The role involves working closely with development, product management, SMEs, and documentation teams to validate new technologies, identify product issues, improve test automation, and drive defects through closure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end QA activities including test planning, automation, regression, validation, and release sign-off.

- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, and Postman.

- Build automation coverage for functional, API, unit, integration, and regression testing.

- Perform infrastructure and real-system validation across AHV, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, DODIN, and DBPlat environments.

- Work on Nutanix Cluster Check (NCC) and take ownership of quality, validation, regression testing, and release readiness.

- Debug technically reported issues by reading and understanding existing code, analyzing logs, reproducing issues, identifying root causes, and validating fixes.

- Validate new Intel and AMD x86 CPU technologies and their integration with distributed systems and Nutanix software.

- Understand and validate x86 platform hardware and firmware components including BIOS, BMC, SSDs, NICs, and related firmware.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to identify defects, provide technical feedback, and drive issues through closure.

- Support CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve automation coverage to reduce manual testing efforts.

- Contribute product-quality feedback and learnings to development, SME, documentation, and product management teams.

- Participate in continuous improvement of test strategies, automation frameworks, and overall product quality.

Required Skills :

- 4 - 7 years of experience in Software QA, Test Automation, Infrastructure Testing, or related areas.

- Strong programming and scripting experience in Python.

- Hands-on experience with Pytest and automation framework development.

- Experience with API testing and Postman.

- Strong understanding of functional, regression, API, integration, and automation testing.

- Good knowledge of Linux systems and command-line troubleshooting.

- Strong debugging and log-analysis skills with the ability to understand and modify existing code.

- Good understanding of x86 architecture and server hardware.

- Knowledge of hardware/firmware components such as BIOS, BMC, SSD, NIC, etc.

- Experience with infrastructure validation and distributed systems.

- Good understanding of virtualization technologies.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Nutanix/AHV or similar HCI/distributed infrastructure platforms.

- Experience with VMware ESXi, KVM, or Hyper-V.

- Exposure to Linux kernel drivers and driver integration.

- Open-source contribution experience.

- Experience working with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

- Knowledge of Intel and AMD server CPU technologies.

- Experience troubleshooting hardware, firmware, networking, or storage-related issues.

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
