We are looking for a highly skilled SDET / Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in automation testing using Java or Python, and hands-on experience in Playwright and Selenium. This role requires a quality-first mindset, deep understanding of automation frameworks, and the ability to work across UI, API, and backend testing.

The ideal candidate will have 4- 5 years of solid experience in Playwright automation, along with strong coding skills and exposure to CI/CD pipelines and emerging GenAI-based testing approaches.

Mandatory Requirements (Must-Have) :

- Strong experience in Automation Testing (SDET profile)

- Proficiency in Java or Python (Java preferred)

- Hands-on experience with Playwright (4-5 years)

- Experience with Selenium WebDriver

- Strong understanding of automation framework design

- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines

- Excellent communication skills (verbal + written)

Key Responsibilities :

1. Automation Framework Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.

- Build reusable components and utilities for UI and API automation.

- Implement best practices such as Page Object Model (POM), modular design, and clean coding standards.

2. Test Automation Execution :

- Develop and execute automated test scripts for :

a. UI testing

b. API testing

c. End-to-end workflows

- Ensure high test coverage and reliability.

- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.

3. Programming & SDET Responsibilities :

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java or Python.

- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.

- Debug complex issues and support developers in root cause analysis.

- Contribute to both development and testing activities (SDET mindset).

4. CI/CD & DevOps Integration :

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

- Enable continuous testing with automated triggers on build/deploy.

- Analyze pipeline failures and improve stability.

5. GenAI & Advanced Testing (Good to Strong Plus) :

- Explore and implement GenAI-based testing approaches :

a. Test case generation

b. Self-healing locators

c. Intelligent test maintenance

- Leverage AI tools to improve test efficiency and coverage.

6. Functional & Non-Functional Testing :

- Perform :

a. Functional testing

b. Regression testing

c. Integration testing

- Support API testing using tools like Postman / RestAssured / Playwright.

- Basic exposure to performance and security testing is a plus.

7. Collaboration & Agile Practices :

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.

- Participate in :

a. Sprint planning

b. Stand-ups

c. Retrospectives

- Promote shift-left testing practices.

- Networking concepts

8. Continuous Improvement :

- Identify and reduce flaky tests.

- Optimize automation execution time and reliability.

- Continuously enhance frameworks and testing strategies.

Required Skills :

Technical Skills :
