Job Description

About PRMAI :

PRMAI (Acads360 India Private Limited) is an AI-first Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Source-to-Pay SaaS platform built to reimagine how enterprises manage procurement, spend, and supplier relationships. We combine deep domain expertise with cutting-edge AI to deliver intelligent, autonomous procurement workflows for global enterprise customers. As we scale our multi-tenant SaaS platform, product quality and release reliability are mission-critical - and our QA function sits at the heart of that mission, safeguarding every release that reaches our customers.

Job Overview :

PRMAI is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 7 - 10 years of hands-on experience to strengthen our quality engineering function. This role goes beyond writing test scripts - you will be a technical anchor for test strategy, automation architecture, and release quality across our AI-powered P2P/S2P platform. You will work closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to build robust, scalable automation frameworks, champion AI-driven testing practices (including AI-assisted Playwright automation), and ensure every release meets the reliability and performance bar our enterprise customers expect. Candidates with prior experience mentoring or leading a QA team will have a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end and API test automation frameworks for a multi-tenant enterprise SaaS platform.

- Own test strategy and test planning for major releases, ensuring adequate coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

- Drive adoption of AI-powered testing approaches, including AI-assisted Playwright test generation, self-healing test scripts, and intelligent test maintenance to reduce automation overhead.

- Architect and evolve automation suites using Playwright (or equivalent modern frameworks), integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and faster release cycles.

- Review requirements and user stories early in the SDLC to identify quality risks, edge cases, and testability gaps before development begins.

- Perform root-cause analysis of production and pre-production defects, working with engineering to drive permanent fixes rather than workarounds.

- Define and track quality metrics (defect leakage, automation coverage, test cycle time) and present release-readiness reports to stakeholders.

- Guide, mentor, and review the work of junior and mid-level QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence (for candidates with team handling experience).

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure quality considerations are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.

- Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and best practices to keep PRMAI's QA function ahead of industry standards.

Key Skills :

- 7 - 10 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with strong exposure to both manual and automation testing.

- Strong programming/scripting proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python for building automation frameworks.

- Hands-on expertise with Playwright is required; working knowledge of AI-assisted/AI-augmented Playwright testing (auto-healing locators, AI-generated test scripts, or similar tools) is strongly desired.

- Solid experience with API testing and tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent.

- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar) and version control (Git).

- Experience testing multi-tenant SaaS/B2B enterprise products; exposure to procurement, P2P, S2P, or finance-tech domains is a strong plus.

- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, or similar) is an advantage.

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum practices, and release management processes.

- Excellent analytical, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills with sharp attention to detail.

- Team handling / mentoring experience - leading a small QA pod, allocating work, or reviewing peers' test artifacts - will be considered a strong add-on.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate quality risks and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced level) or equivalent QA certification is a plus.

- Proven track record of working in fast-paced, agile SaaS product environments, ideally within B2B or enterprise software.

- Demonstrated experience building or scaling an automation framework from the ground up is highly valued.

PRMAI is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
