Position : Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary :

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will be a QA expert who can design and implement comprehensive test strategies, mentor junior team members, and drive the adoption of new testing technologies. You'll be responsible for ensuring the high-quality delivery of our software by leading both manual and automated testing initiatives and collaborating closely with product and development teams.

Key Responsibilities :

QA Strategy & Leadership :

- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive QA strategies and processes.

- Collaborate with product and development teams to define robust test plans and strategies based on software requirements.

- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Automation & Manual Testing :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases, scripts, and scenarios.

- Perform both manual and automated testing to identify and report software defects.

- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure bug fixes are effective and don't introduce new issues.

Process Improvement & Collaboration :

- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and reproduce reported issues, providing detailed and accurate bug reports.

- Stay up-to-date with new testing methodologies and technologies, and recommend process enhancements.

Required Skills :

Core QA Experience :

- 6-7 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation.

- Proven track record of leading QA initiatives and teams.

- Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test plans and test reports.

Automation & Programming :

- Expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks.

- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, or C#).

- Hands-on experience with industry-standard automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Methodology & Documentation :

- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation tests into the build process (Jenkins).

- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

- Relevant certifications like ISTQB.
