We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and WebdriverIO. The role will automate critical business workflows, strengthen regression coverage, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and drive continuous improvement in software quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable Playwright and WebdriverIO automation frameworks.
- Automate critical business workflows and comprehensive regression test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Execute automated tests across development, staging, and production environments.
- Analyze failures using Datadog, cloud logs, and monitoring tools.
- Partner with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to resolve defects.
- Improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and quality engineering practices.
- Produce automation metrics, dashboards, and quality reports.
- Support release validation, deployments, and production troubleshooting.
Mandatory Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in QA and software testing.
- 3+ years of hands-on Playwright framework design and implementation experience.
- Strong expertise in automation framework design, test development, and execution.
- JavaScript, TypeScript, or a comparable programming language.
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging, log analysis, and defect troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Webdriver IO automation framework.
- AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent test automation.
- Playwright Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
- Datadog, cloud logging, and observability platforms.
- Performance and load testing tools.
- API testing with REST and GraphQL frameworks.
- Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Git, and test management tools.
