About Role :
AcmeMinds is building a new Core Automation Engineering Team to drive excellence in test automation architecture, frameworks, and tooling across multiple product lines for global clients.
We are looking for a Senior Team Lead Core Automation Engineering, a hands-on technical leader who will architect centralized automation solutions, define best practices, and guide a high-performing team of automation engineers.
This is a foundational leadership role, reporting to QA leadership, and will play a pivotal part in enabling scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation systems across our engineering organization and client engagements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of centralized test automation frameworks that support multiple teams and client projects.
- Architecture & Best Practices: Define automation architecture, coding standards, and QA best practices to be adopted across the organization.
- Component Reusability: Build modular, reusable libraries and components to accelerate automated testing across teams.
- Innovation & Tools: Evaluate emerging tools/technologies, conduct PoCs, and recommend solutions aligned with AcmeMinds client automation strategy.
- Mentorship & Reviews: Mentor automation engineers, conduct code/design reviews, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaboration: Partner with QA, DevOps, and development teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth adoption.
- Documentation & Enablement: Oversee framework documentation and onboarding materials for seamless adoption by new and
existing teams.
Required Skills and Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation or software development
- Deep expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cucumber, Telerik, Appium)
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python(good to have)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of test design patterns, test data management, and service virtualization
- Strong understanding of microservices and distributed system automation
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice to Have :
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Exposure to performance or security testing frameworks
- Experience setting up test environments in CI/CD pipelines
