Senior Quality Assurance Analyst - Manual/Automation Testing

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Analyst with strong expertise in the Life Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in software testing, workflow/case management systems, and end-to-end quality assurance processes. The role requires close collaboration with business analysts, developers, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and related artifacts to create detailed test scenarios and test cases

- Prepare comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and testing documentation

- Perform manual and/or automation testing for enterprise applications

- Identify, log, track, and manage defects using JIRA

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure requirement clarity and quality deliverables

- Participate in requirement walkthroughs, design discussions, and defect triage meetings

- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate end-to-end business workflows

- Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices

- Coordinate with customer teams during implementation, support, and testing activities

- Travel to customer locations when required for project delivery or support engagements

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA and software testing

- Strong domain knowledge in Life Insurance processes such as :

a. New Business

b. Underwriting

c. Policy Administration

- Claims Processing

- Experience working with Workflow and Case Management systems

- Exposure to BPM platforms is an added advantage

- Strong experience in preparing test cases from BRD/FSD documents

- Hands-on experience with JIRA for defect tracking and project management

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams

- Willingness to travel for client/customer engagements when required

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to automation testing tools/frameworks

- Knowledge of :

a. BPM platforms

b. Rules Engines

c. Insurance Core Systems

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

- Certification in QA/testing methodologies is an added advantage
