Senior Quality Assurance Analyst - ISTQB

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Analyst with a strong background in the BFSI domain to join our quality assurance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through comprehensive testing strategies, proactive issue identification, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This role demands a deep understanding of testing principles, business processes in BFSI, and a strong focus on detail and delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, developers, and business users to define and clarify test scope and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Analyze business requirements and business rules to ensure clarity and technical understanding.

- Proactively identify issues, analyze root causes, and contribute to fast and efficient issue resolution.

- Estimate and plan testing activities, deliverables, and timelines with accuracy.

- Develop structured and detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts in alignment with project goals.

- Execute manual and automated test cases across various test levels System, Integration, Regression, End-to-End, and API.

- Guide and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining UAT scenarios and coordinating test efforts.

- Conduct database validation and testing using PL/SQL queries.

- Document test results and report bugs using appropriate test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Confluence, Mantis, TestRail).

- Write clear and user-friendly test documentation and user guides.

- Adhere to and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

- Work through assigned project plans and ensure timely delivery of quality products.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably within the BFSI domain.

- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test principles, and best practices.

- Expertise in various testing types: Functional, Integration, Regression, API, and End-to-End testing.

- Hands-on experience with database testing using PL/SQL.

- Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools like Confluence, Mantis, and TestRail.

- Experience working on web, desktop, mobile, and API-based applications.

- Demonstrated ability to write and maintain UAT test scenarios and work closely with business teams during acceptance testing.

- Exposure to test automation implementation and maintenance is a strong plus.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.

- ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
