Senior QA Tester

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Tester to ensure product quality and reliability across releases. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in manual testing, functional and regression testing, API testing, database validation, and end-to-end testing. The role involves working closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to identify defects, validate fixes, improve test coverage, and ensure stable product releases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Plan and execute QA activities across product releases.

- Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on product requirements.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, database, and end-to-end testing.

- Test REST APIs using Postman and validate API responses.

- Perform database testing and data validation using SQL and PostgreSQL.

- Identify, document, track, and verify defects in collaboration with development teams.

- Conduct release validation and support production issue analysis.

- Collaborate with Product, Backend, Frontend, and DevOps teams to ensure product quality.

- Improve testing processes, test coverage, and overall QA practices.

- Guide junior QA team members when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience in QA engineering or software testing.

- Strong hands-on experience in manual, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

- Practical experience in API testing using Postman and testing REST APIs.

- Good knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL for database testing.

- Experience with Git and Jira or similar defect-tracking tools.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

Good to Have :

- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud environments, and microservices.

- Familiarity with Kafka or performance testing.

- Understanding of QA process improvements and test automation practices.
