Senior QA Automation Engineer

Role Overview:

Looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Appium, TestNG, Cucumber, API Automation, and Android-based connected devices, with exposure to STB, Android TV, Fire TV and OTT platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and maintain UI, API and end-to-end automation frameworks.

- Develop automation scripts using Java, Appium, TestNG and Cucumber.

- Perform functional, integration, regression and E2E testing across STB, Fire TV and connected devices.

- Validate firmware releases, upgrades/downgrades and device-level functionality.

- Use ADB for device control, application installation, log collection and troubleshooting.

- Perform API testing and automation using Postman, RestAssured or similar tools.

- Analyze application/device logs using Kibana/ELK and troubleshoot network issues using Charles Proxy.

- Manage defects and test cases using Jira, Zephyr and Xray.

- Contribute to Git/GitLab and Jenkins-based CI/CD workflows.

- Explore GenAI, LLMs and AI-powered testing solutions to improve QA efficiency.

Required Skills:

- Java, Appium, TestNG, Cucumber, REST API, Postman, RestAssured, ADB, Android, STB, Fire TV, Firmware, Jira, Git/GitLab.

- Experience with Android TV, OTT/IPTV, connected devices or digital entertainment platforms is highly preferred.

- Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an Agile, cross-functional environment are essential.

- Kibana/ELK, Charles Proxy, Firebase/Crashlytics, Newman, Jenkins, Python/Shell Scripting, CI/CD, GenAI/LLMs, AI-driven QA.
