Role : Senior Python Developer / Cloud Engineer

Job Purpose :

As a Senior Python Developer, you will architect, build, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and robust cloud-native applications. With over 9 years of engineering expertise, you will bridge the gap between backend software design and cloud infrastructure, driving technical decisions, mentoring mid-level engineers, and translating complex business requirements into clean, production-ready code.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Backend Architecture & Development :

- Design and develop highly scalable, low-latency, and high-throughput backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask).

- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-tested code following strict OOP principles and SOLID design patterns.

- Optimize application performance, refactor legacy codebases, and resolve complex backend bottlenecks.

2. Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Integration :

- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions leveraging major platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as serverless computing (AWS Lambda/Cloud Functions), managed containers (ECS/EKS), cloud storage, and managed databases.

- Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration via Kubernetes.

- Build, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to ensure smooth production deployments.

3. Data Management & Security :

- Design, optimize, and interact with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).

- Implement robust data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity best practices across all cloud layers.

4. Leadership & Collaboration :

- Act as a technical leader, participating in architecture review boards and making strategic technology choices.

- Mentor and provide constructive code reviews for junior and mid-level developers.

- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, DevOps teams, and UI/UX designers to deliver high-quality features.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

- Experience : 9+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4+ years focused heavily on cloud-native environments.

- Python Mastery : Deep expert-level understanding of Python internals, asynchronous programming (asyncio), and packaging.

- Cloud Platforms : Proven track record with cloud services (AWS preferred, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, API Gateway). Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer/Solutions Architect) is a major plus.

- System Design : Strong proficiency in microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka).

- Testing : Strong automation mindset with framework experience in pytest or unittest.

Soft Skills :

- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a root-cause analysis mindset.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong ownership mentality, capable of leading features from conception to production.
