Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and FastAPI to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with asynchronous programming, API development, database integration, and cloud/containerized environments. Experience with Generative AI and frameworks such as Django or Flask will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.

- Build and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using FastAPI.

- Develop asynchronous applications using async/await and Python async I/O.

- Design robust API contracts, request/response models, and validation using Pydantic.

- Implement authentication, authorization, error handling, logging, and API security best practices.

- Integrate backend services with relational databases such as MySQL and write optimized SQL queries.

- Work with data processing and analytical libraries such as Pandas and NumPy where required.

- Develop modular, maintainable, and reusable code following clean coding and software engineering practices.

- Containerize applications using Docker and support deployment across cloud environments.

- Work with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure services for application deployment and infrastructure integration.

- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective fixes.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI and modern Python backend frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 4-8 years of professional experience in backend development using Python.

- 2+ years of hands-on production experience with FastAPI.

- Strong understanding of REST API design principles and API development.

- Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming and async I/O in Python.

- Hands-on experience with Pydantic for data validation and schema management.

- Strong programming and problem-solving skills in Python.

- Experience with SQL and MySQL or other relational databases.

- Good understanding of Docker and containerized application development.

- Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

- Familiarity with Django and/or Flask is preferred.

- Experience with Pandas and NumPy is an advantage.

- Exposure to Generative AI applications or integrations is a plus.
