Role Summary :

Volantis Technologies is seeking a Senior Python Databricks Developer to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python development, Apache Spark, Databricks, and AWS. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable and high-performance data pipelines and solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and build scalable ETL pipelines using Python, Apache Spark, and Databricks

- Optimize data workflows for performance and reliability

- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams for robust solutions

- Manage data storage, transformation, and retrieval in data warehouses

- Work with AWS services : S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift

- Ensure data quality, security, and consistency

- Troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and optimize performance

- Mentor junior developers and share best practices

Required Skills :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Python development

- Strong experience with Apache Spark and Databricks

- Expertise in ETL pipeline development and optimization

- Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts

- Proficiency in AWS cloud services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift)

- Familiarity with version control, unit testing, and code reviews

Nice-to-Have :

- Experience in the insurance domain or other regulated sectors

- Exposure to big data tools beyond Spark/Databricks (e.g., Kafka, Hadoop)

- Understanding of CI/CD practices in data engineering
