Job Summary:

We are looking for highly skilled C Programmers to join a strategic IBM and Oracle engagement focused on porting Oracle Database code from IBM XL Compiler to Open XL Compiler on the AIX platform. Candidates with compiler development experience are highly preferred. Professionals with strong debugging, troubleshooting, system programming, and performance optimization expertise will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Port Oracle Database code from IBM XL Compiler to Open XL Compiler on AIX.

- Investigate and resolve compile-time and runtime issues.

- Optimize Oracle Database performance on IBM Power Architecture.

- Analyze runtime behavior and identify performance bottlenecks.

- Collaborate closely with Oracle engineering teams on performance improvements.

- Debug and troubleshoot complex enterprise-scale systems.

- Optimize ONNX Runtime performance on AIX through compiler tuning, vectorization, threading, parallelization, and algorithm enhancements.

- Ensure production readiness, stability, and scalability of applications.

Mandatory Skills:

- Strong C Programming expertise.

- Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience with GCC, XL C, ICC, Clang/LLVM, AOCC, or similar compilers.

- Strong UNIX/Linux system programming experience.

- Knowledge of memory management, threading, process control, and performance tuning.

- Ability to work in large-scale, performance-critical environments.

Preferred Skills:

- Compiler development experience.

- Hands-on experience with GDB.

- Understanding of compiler internals and LLVM.

- Open-source compiler project contributions.

- Knowledge of C++, Java, JDK, and JVM.

- Experience with Valgrind, Perf, Nectar, PMU, Pipestat, or Nmon.

- Distributed systems or parallel computing experience.

- Experience with ONNX Runtime, AI frameworks, or numerical optimization.

Work Location Details:

The selected resource will work from Oracle's office in Kadubeesanahalli, Bangalore. Prior to Oracle onboarding, the resource will work from IBM offices located at Whitefield or Embassy Golf Links (D Block), Domlur, Bangalore.
