Senior Principal Engineer - Java/React.js

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Principal Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement robust EMR solutions, leveraging platforms like Oracle Cerner, Epic, or other leading EMRs.

- Lead the development of full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and microservices architecture.

- Design scalable APIs and backend services optimized for performance, reliability, and security.

- Integrate EMR platforms with SAP systems (SAP ERP, SAP HCM, etc.) for seamless data flow between clinical and enterprise systems.

- Ensure adherence to healthcare interoperability standards like HL7, FHIR, and IHE profiles.

- Leverage IoT devices and technologies for real-time patient monitoring, diagnostics, and decision support.

- Develop solutions that support smart medical devices, wearables, and remote patient management systems.

- Work closely with clinicians, business analysts, and system architects to gather and translate healthcare requirements into technical specifications.

- Act as the technical bridge between clinical workflows and software engineering teams.

- Ensure all solutions are compliant with UAE healthcare regulations including DHA, HAAD, and MOHAP guidelines.

- Adhere to global and local data privacy and security standards (HIPAA, GDPR where applicable).

- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability using cloud infrastructure (OCI, AWS, Azure).

- Establish and drive best practices in DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, automation, and code reviews.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.

- Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Stay abreast of emerging trends in Healthcare IT, IoT, and software architecture.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Education : Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Experience :

- Proven expertise in designing and implementing EMR systems, preferably Oracle Cerner.

- Experience working on UAE-based healthcare projects with a strong understanding of local regulations and clinical workflows.

Technical Skills :

- Microservices, RESTful APIs, Event-driven architectures

- Oracle Cerner, Epic, Allscripts (at least one is mandatory)

- HL7, FHIR, IHE, CDA, LOINC, SNOMED

- AWS, OCI, Azure, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, CI/CD

- MQTT, BLE, Medical IoT frameworks and protocols

- SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
