Role Description :

We are looking for a powerhouse, battle-tested Senior Principal Engineer (IC) who can single-handedly pull the engineering weight of an entire team. This is a high-throttle role; the work is highly demanding, intensely fast-paced, yet deeply rewarding.

This is strictly a production-code-producing role. You will not be limited to high-level whiteboard architecture; you must actively write, optimize, compile, and ship the code you design. You will be responsible for tearing down a legacy enterprise stack and rebuilding it from scratch using state-of-the-art Generative AI acceleration.

Core Responsibilities :

- Production Code Execution: Massively produce clean, scalable, production-grade code leveraging Microsoft .NET Core (C#) and advanced SQL Server engineering.

- AI-Autonomous Engineering: Operate as an AI-augmented developer. You must natively orchestrate autonomous AI software agents and advanced tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf) within sandboxed environments to multiply development speed.

- Spec-Driven Development (SDD): Write software exclusively against rigorous, unambiguous technical specifications.

- Architectural Rigor: Strictly apply SOLID principles and decoupled design patterns to ensure the new stack is easily maintainable.

- High-Scale Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain systems built to handle 0.5 Million+ active customers and scale smoothly through 5 Million+ transactions daily.

- Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Engineer code optimized to run seamlessly within a primary On-Premises Data Center while managing low-latency replication and automated failover pipelines to AWS Disaster Recovery (DR).

- Observability & Instrumentation: Build world-class distributed log instrumentation and tracing setups to ensure zero blind spots across the On-Prem/AWS boundary.

- Cost-Sensitive Engineering: Demonstrate a relentless focus on minimizing cloud operational spend, compute overhead, and execution costs per transaction.

Tech Stack & Competencies :

- Primary Stack: Microsoft .NET C#, .NET Core, Advanced SQL Server (Query optimization, locking, indexing structures).

- AI Engineering: Cognition Devin orchestration, ChatGPT prompt engineering, Cursor, Windsurf.

- Methodologies: Spec-Driven Development (SDD), SOLID Principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD).

- Infrastructure: Hybrid Data Centers, AWS Core Services (EC2, S3, RDS, DR automation).

- Observability: Advanced Distributed Logging, Telemetry, and APM Instrumentation.

- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the Texas Energy & Utilities sector (ERCOT, smart grids, or deregulated market clearing) is a massive plus.
