Job Title : Senior PowerBI Developer

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards to support business intelligence and analytics requirements.

- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into scalable and user-friendly Power BI solutions.

- Develop and optimize advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs to support complex business logic and reporting needs.

- Perform data transformation, cleansing, and preparation using Power Query (M Language).

- Design and implement robust data models using Star Schema and dimensional modeling best practices to ensure optimal report performance.

- Work with large datasets and write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.

- Develop scalable reporting solutions leveraging Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for modern data platforms.

- Integrate Power BI with multiple enterprise data sources, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, SAP, Excel, REST APIs, and web services.

- Develop and configure custom Power BI visualizations, utilizing AppSource visuals and custom visuals where required.

- Implement Power BI REST APIs for report deployment, workspace management, embedding, automation, and administrative tasks.

- Manage Power BI Service environments, including workspaces, datasets, gateways, scheduled refreshes, security, and deployment pipelines.

- Optimize report and dashboard performance through efficient DAX calculations, query tuning, data model optimization, and refresh strategies.

- Ensure adherence to data visualization best practices, UI/UX standards, and dashboard usability principles.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.

- Troubleshoot report issues, data discrepancies, refresh failures, and performance bottlenecks.

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, governance, and compliance with organizational standards.

- Participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and release management activities.

- Provide technical guidance, user training, and support for Power BI solutions and self-service analytics initiatives.

- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, Microsoft Fabric capabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve reporting solutions.

Key skills required for the role are experience working with Advanced DAX, Data Modelling, Power Query / M Language, SQL, custom designs (UI/UX), performance optimization, understanding of Medallion architecture and API integrations. Please note : Communication is keen for all roles.

Key Skills to Succeed in This Role :

Technical Skills :

- Power BI Development : 4-5 years of hands-on experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.

- DAX : Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating measures, calculated columns, and complex calculations.

- Power Query / M Language : Expertise in data transformation and ETL processes using Power Query.

- Data Modeling : Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, star schema, and data warehouse concepts.

- SQL : Proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying relational databases.

- Power BI Service : Experience with Power BI Service administration, workspace management, scheduled refreshes, and deployment pipelines.

- Custom Visualizations : Experience creating and configuring custom visuals, including use of AppSource visuals and custom visual development using Power BI Visuals SDK.

- API Integration : Hands-on experience with Power BI REST APIs for automating deployments, managing workspaces, and embedding reports.

- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and UI/UX principles for dashboard design.

- Experience with data source connectivity (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, SAP, Excel, REST APIs, and web services).

Additional Required Qualifications :
