Role Overview :

We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Platform Architect with deep expertise in Monitoring and Reporting for on-premises enterprise environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing comprehensive monitoring and reporting solutions aligned with complex customer requirements.

This role requires strong technical proficiency across monitoring tools, ITSM integrations, and enterprise reporting frameworks such as IT4IT and ITSM.

The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, driving visibility, operational efficiency, and compliance through robust monitoring architectures and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and design monitoring and reporting solutions for large-scale, mission-critical on-premises environments.

- Evaluate, recommend, and integrate enterprise-grade monitoring tools to align with customer requirements and IT strategies.

- Define and maintain an end-to-end reporting framework covering infrastructure, operating systems, middleware, COTS, and custom applications.

- Drive ITSM integration of monitoring events (via SNMP, REST APIs, etc.) into incident, change, and problem management processes.

- Ensure effective CMDB (Configuration Management Database) synchronization with monitoring and reporting tools.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and optimize KPI- and SLA-based reporting across all layers of the technology stack.

- Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership aligned with frameworks such as IT4IT, ITIL, and ITSM best practices.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring governance, compliance, and operational excellence in monitoring and reporting strategies.

- Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, conducting workshops and presentations (in German, where applicable).

Required Technical Skills & Experience :

- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in designing and architecting Monitoring & Reporting solutions for large-scale on-premises environments.

- Strong hands-on expertise with enterprise monitoring tools such as : Micro Focus Operations Bridge, BMC TrueSight, IBM Tivoli, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or equivalent.

- In-depth understanding of event management, log analytics, performance monitoring, and alert correlation frameworks.

- Proven experience integrating monitoring tools with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, HP Service Manager) for event, incident, and CMDB workflows.

- Proficiency with SNMP, Syslog, REST APIs, and other standard monitoring interfaces.

- Strong knowledge of reporting and analytics frameworks for infrastructure and application performance.

- Ability to design and implement end-to-end monitoring coverage across OS, middleware, COTS, and on-demand applications.

- Familiarity with IT4IT, ITIL, and ITSM frameworks, particularly their relevance to monitoring and reporting.

- Strong documentation and solution design skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable architectures.

Soft Skills & Other Requirements :

- German language proficiency (C1 or higher) strongly preferred for effective customer communication, workshops, and documentation.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global and cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.

- Immediate availability required due to the urgent nature of the project
