Senior Performance Tester - JMeter

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance testing strategies for complex web-based applications.

- Collaborate with Engineering Leaders and Development Teams to identify performance bottlenecks, define performance KPIs, and establish baseline metrics.

- Conduct a wide range of performance testing activities including :

1. Load Testing

2. Stress Testing

3. Soak/Endurance Testing

4. Scalability Testing

5. Disaster Recovery and Peak Load Testing

- Create, maintain, and execute performance test scripts using tools such as Apache JMeter (mandatory).

- Analyze system performance under load and provide detailed reports, including root cause analysis and recommendations for optimization.

- Integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation of system performance and stability.

- Document test plans, test cases, execution results, and performance tuning outcomes for future reference and audits.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- 7+ years of proven hands-on experience in Performance Testing of enterprise-grade web applications.

- Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter (mandatory).

- Proficient in at least one scripting language JavaScript, Python, or Groovy.

- Solid understanding of software performance metrics, load generation, bottleneck analysis, and performance tuning.

- Experience with Performance Test Strategy development and end-to-end testing ownership across multiple test cycles (Load, Soak, Stress, Peak).

- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure performance testing and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalent.

- Hands-on experience integrating performance testing with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CDK).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Domain Experience : Prior exposure to banking, lending, or mortgage applications preferred.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with APM tools (AppDynamics, New Relic, or DataDog).

- Working knowledge of microservices-based architectures and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Understanding of RESTful APIs, web protocols, and database performance testing.

- Familiarity with performance engineering methodologies and capacity planning.
