Senior Performance Engineer

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Engineer to own the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our enterprise-level, multi-platform software products.

This role will involve working across web, API, and mobile interfaces to design, execute, and analyze performance tests, ensuring systems run efficiently under varying loads. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in performance engineering, strong technical skills, and a collaborative mindset to optimize end-to-end system performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests for enterprise applications.

- Monitor application performance across development, staging, and production environments.

- Automate performance testing processes and maintain real-time dashboards reflecting outcomes and KPIs.

- Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, and provide detailed documentation, metrics, and root cause analysis to stakeholders.

- Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to optimize system performance.

- Design and build mockers and simulators to support testing across microservices and APIs.

- Ensure performance engineering best practices are integrated into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

- Drive innovation by leveraging the latest performance testing, monitoring, and observability tools.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills :

Experience : 7+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.

Performance Testing Tools : Expertise with tools such as Apache JMeter (preferred), LoadRunner, k6.

Performance Monitoring Tools : Experience with Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Splunk.

Scripting/Programming Skills : Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and Git.

- Strong background in Linux/Unix operating systems.

- Strong API testing expertise, particularly using JMeter.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) and DevOps practices.
