Senior Oracle Database Administrator - Oracle DB 11G/12C

Job Description :

- Managing Oracle 11g and 12c, 19c databases on ExaCs, OCI, Oracle Linux and LINUX environments.

- Influence the design, capacity planning tuning and the actual build out of Exadata DB instances on Oracle Cloud infrastructure.

- Work towards automating key operational activities.

- Middleware environment administration (Install, configure, migrations, tuning, patching, administration & monitoring) on any middleware platform such as Oracle.

- Ensure the effective daily operation of the production / Middleware applications and provides administrative support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations

- Ensure the DB system is always up to date and patched to the latest version in an automated fashion

- Develop solutions that ensure DB health check are done in an automated and proactive fashion

- Interact with customers and developers for any priority situations and react/respond timely manner

- Play a key role in the design of HA/DR solutions for the new Identity cloud service

- Get involved in Performance, Scalability and Reliability Analysis and database query tuning

- Troubleshoot HA/DR and Database Performance issues on the existing cloud service

- Work with architects and development managers in requirements specification definition and detailed engineering analysis from data requirements perspective

- Own database/schema design documentation at component and product level

- Participate in rapid delivery in planning, building, configuring, deploying, monitoring and documenting for Oracle Cloud projects

- Automating routine maintenance tasks as appropriate utilizing OEM, Shell scripting and PL/SQL batch processing;

- Support the production environment on 11g,12c, 19c databases on Oracle Linux and RHEL.

- Backup and restore using RMAN utilities, Disaster Recovery testing, recovery Catalog and refreshing databases on multiple environment.

- Manage, troubleshoot and resolve oracle database and applications issues.

- Perform database and application tuning through the use of AWR and ADDM

- Experience with Oracle enterprise manager 13c

- Assist the application development team with tuning and optimization of long running SQL and PL/SQL queries for better performance.

- Experience in RAC and Multi-tenant (CDB-PDB) environments and performance tuning as well.

- Perform and develop the PL/SQL code for automation process.

- Working knowledge of Exadata

- Manager and troubleshoot and resolve Oracle database and Performance its issues.

- Familiars with Cloud platform (preferred OCI, AWS, Azure)

- Experience on WebLogic Administration Forms and Reports

- Exposure to PostgreSQL database administration is required

Must Have :

Qualification :

- University Graduate degree (Btech, B.E)

- Knowledge of ITSM tools like Service Now

- Oracle Database Administration Certification

- Linux Administration

- Excellent command over written and spoken English (mandatory)

- Good understanding of Network and Storage concept

- ITIL Foundation certification (preferred)

Primary Skills :
