Role Overview : The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands-on experience with firewall administration, load balancer configuration, and network troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and maintain firewall policies on platforms such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Checkpoint.

- Implement and troubleshoot IPsec/SSL VPNs, firewall rules, and security zones for secure network access.

- Monitor firewall logs, analyse traffic patterns, and optimize performance to ensure compliance with security policies.

- Perform upgrades, patch management, and certificate renewals for firewall.

- Configure and manage load balancers (e.g., F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM) to ensure optimal traffic distribution, SSL termination, and session.

- Create and apply iRules, virtual servers, pools, and profiles for application delivery and traffic management.

- Troubleshoot application traffic issues, monitor performance, and fine-tune load balancing algorithms to enhance availability.

- Maintain detailed documentation for network designs, configurations, and change management processes.

- Generate reports on firewall and load balancer performance, security compliance, and operational status.

Required Skills :

- Expertise in Layer 3 networking (TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).

- Familiarity with NAT, IPv4, and firewall operations (TCP/UDP).

- Deep technical expertise on Palo Alto, Checkpoint Firewalls and F5 Load balancers.

- Exposure to cloud network troubleshooting (GCP and AWS).

- Understanding of change management and operational support.

- Strong willingness to learn and adapt.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

- 3-5 years of progressive experience in network engineering, with at least 1 year focused on firewall administration and on load balancing technologies.

- Experience with enterprise-grade platforms like F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM), Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco Firepower.

- Hands-on experience with cloud-native security and load balancing solutions (e.g., AWS ALB/ELB, Azure Load Balancer).

- F5 Certified Technology Specialist (301a/b, 401), Palo Alto PCNSE, Cisco CCNP Security or equivalent.

- Advanced certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCIE Security, or ITIL Foundation are highly desirable.
