Senior Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, installation, configuration, and deployment of Extranet solutions.

- Plan, document, and perform migrations from Cisco to Palo Alto Firewalls.

- Firewall, Router, and Nexus Switch code upgrades.

- Partner with technical peers to create robust network solutions.

- Recommend optimizations to improve delivery and performance.

- Provide 3rd-level support, troubleshooting, and outage management.

- Peer review of change controls and documentation.

- Consult with customers to assist in finding technical solutions.

- Scripting and automation to streamline operations.

- Perform duties outside standard hours as required (after-hours, weekends, holidays).

- Provide technical training to Service Desk, Operations, and relevant stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience : 10+ years in Network Security/Firewall responsibilities.

Technical Expertise :

Palo Alto Networks :

- Firewalls (3400, 3800, 5200, 5400 series) : setup, configuration, troubleshooting, management, upgrades.

- Panorama and Prisma Access/Strata Cloud Manager : configuration, scripting, management, troubleshooting, policy creation/management.

Cisco Systems :

- Firewalls (Firepower 2100, 3100, 4100, 9300 series; Meraki MX67/MX68; ASA and FTD deployments) : setup, configuration, troubleshooting, management, upgrades.

- Security Manager, Firepower Management Center, Meraki Admin Console : setup, configuration, management.

- Routers/Switches (ISR1100, ASR100x, C8500, Nexus 9300/9500) : setup, configuration, troubleshooting, management, upgrades.

Core Skills :

- Network Engineering & Network Security expertise.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills :

- PCNSE certification (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer)
