- Mobile Test Automation Framework - built from scratch (using Appium, Espresso or XCUITest, or similar) : Ownership

- CI/CD Test Integration (Jenkins, GitLab or Azure DevOps, or similar) : Ownership

- API Testing / Validation (RestAssured, Postman, or similar) : Hands-on

- Real-Device-Cloud Testing (BrowserStack, or similar) : Hands-on

- Mobile Debugging & Root-Cause Analysis (Charles Proxy, Proxyman or Fiddler, or similar) : Exposure

Definitions :

- Ownership : Should have owned and been responsible for a part of the project where the core skill is the one mentioned. Should be able to describe the project and how he or she delivered on that specific piece. May have mentored juniors on the deliverable. Can describe code written and production-level challenges faced. Can answer scenario questions at expert level with multiple levels of probing.

- Hands-on : Was working under supervision of someone else but was responsible for something where the core skill is the one mentioned. Can describe the project, specific role, and responsibilities. Can describe code written and production-level challenges faced. Can answer scenario questions at average level with one to two levels of probing on specific concepts.

- Exposure : Was working in a team where someone else owned the skill but the person has seen it in action. Knows the issues that happened with respect to the skill and what the team did. Cannot solve scenario-level questions but knows how to collaborate with team members on solving the problem.

- Knowledge : Knows conceptually how things work and can answer a few questions. Cannot answer scenario-based questions.

Detailed JD :

Core Responsibilities :

- Framework Development : Build, maintain, and enhance scalable mobile test automation frameworks from scratch for iOS and Android.

- CI/CD Integration : Own the testing phase of the DevOps lifecycle by integrating automated test suites into pipelines to enable true continuous testing.

- Strategic Shift-Left Testing : Drive quality upstream by participating in design reviews and automating test cases early in the development cycle to catch defects before they reach production.

- Performance & API Testing : Conduct deep-dive mobile testing, including API validation and performance profiling.

- Real Device Strategy : Manage and execute automated tests on real device clouds (BrowserStack) to ensure compatibility across fragmented OS versions and screen densities.

- Root Cause Analysis : Use debugging tools to intercept network traffic and perform deep-dive analysis on client-vs-server failures.
