Senior MERN Stack Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior MERN Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using the MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN) stack. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead or mentor junior developers. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality, performant, and maintainable applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.

- Develop dynamic, responsive, and interactive frontend applications using React.js with best practices for state management (Redux, Context API).

- Build reusable components and modular architecture to ensure maintainability and scalability.

- Design and optimize MongoDB schemas, queries, and aggregation pipelines.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.

- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across databases and services.

- Optimize application performance, including server-side and client-side rendering, caching, and lazy loading.

- Implement security best practices for web applications, APIs, and data storage.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues across the stack.

- Implement unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.

- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns.

- Mentor junior and mid-level developers on best practices, architecture, and coding standards.

- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

- Expertise in React.js, including hooks, state management (Redux, Context API), and routing.

- Experience with Node.js and Express.js for backend development.

- Strong knowledge of MongoDB including schema design, aggregation, and indexing.

- Understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth), and web security best practices.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha) and end-to-end testing (Cypress, Selenium).

- Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
