Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct network and system vulnerability assessments using automated tools and manual testing techniques.
- Perform penetration testing to identify system vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential security threats.
- Analyze findings and provide remediation recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
- Evaluate security settings across Windows and Linux platforms, ensuring best practices are implemented.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen security controls.
- Document assessment results, reports, and remediation plans for management and audit purposes.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security tools to maintain an effective security posture.
Technical Skills :
- Strong understanding of OSI layers and fundamental operating system concepts.
- Hands-on expertise with Windows and Linux security configurations.
- Proficiency in vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS, etc.
- Experience with manual penetration testing, including network, application, and system testing.
- Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and network security protocols.
- Familiarity with penetration testing frameworks (OWASP, PTES) and reporting standards.
Required Candidate Profile :
- 8 to 11 years of experience in information security, focusing on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
- Proven ability to conduct manual and automated penetration testing and produce actionable remediation plans.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in preparing reports for management, audits, and compliance purposes.
Preferred Attributes :
- Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or CISA.
- Experience with cloud security assessments and application security testing
