Senior Mainframe Developer - JCL/IMS

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, upgrade, and maintain z/OS, subsystems, and mainframe software products.

- Perform system programming, performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.

- Support and manage mainframe storage, security, and automation tools.

- Implement system patches, enhancements, and disaster recovery procedures.

- Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth

operations.

- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and provide optimization solutions.

- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with audit and security standards.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on expertise with mainframe subsystems such as CICS, IMS, DB2, and MQ.

- Experience in troubleshooting, debugging system dumps, and root cause analysis.

- Knowledge of storage management, disaster recovery, and performance monitoring tools.

- Familiarity with automation tools (OPS/MVS, CA-7, or equivalent).

- Good understanding of ITIL processes and production support best practices.

Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience as a Mainframe System Programmer.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
