Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Artificial Intelligence

About the Role :

You will join a cutting-edge team building personalized, AI-driven experiences for PlayStation users, impacting millions globally.

This role blends deep technical expertise in ML, DL, and AI with leadership responsibilities, working cross-functionally across Engineering and Product teams.

Youll drive innovation using advanced ML technologies, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor other team members, ensuring consistent delivery of high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and deploy large-scale ML/DL models for production use in areas such as :

- Content personalization

- Predictive safety

- Search and recommendation systems

- Time series forecasting

- Conversational AI/Virtual assistants

- Build and optimize data pipelines, model training workflows, and scalable deployment architectures.

- Lead ad-hoc POCs and R&D initiatives on new AI/ML technologies (e.g., LLMs, Transfer Learning, NLP models).

- Translate business problems into clear ML problem statements and propose optimized technical solutions.

- Configure and execute A/B testing and define evaluation metrics to validate model performance both offline and online.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to understand requirements and deliver business impact.

- Mentor junior engineers, conduct training sessions, and support team upskilling through knowledge-sharing initiatives.

- Ensure best practices in code quality, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and ML monitoring.

- Solid understanding of statistics, A/B testing, and data analytics.

- Industry experience in gaming, online safety, recommendation engines, or conversational AI is a strong plus.

Good to Have :

- Exposure to SQL and Data Analysis tools

- Familiarity with gaming industry products, user behavior modeling, or personalization techniques

Soft Skills & Leadership :

- Proven ability to lead AI/ML initiatives across multiple projects

- Experience in agile/Scrum methodologies

- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

- Capability to mentor and train junior engineers and team members
