Senior/Lead Software Development Engineer - Test - Java

Job Description :

- Years of Experience : Minimum 10+ years (Minimum 4+ years in Automation Testing)

- Role Type : Full-Time, Permanent with Client

- Notice Period : 1015 Days Max (Immediate Joiners Preferred)

- Work Location : Bangalore

- Work Mode : Onsite / Hybrid ( 3 Days WFO)

For SDET role : Candidate shall be technically screened by the Vendor on Java Programming, Microservices API Testing, Functional, Playwright and Automation Testing.

Rating should be out of 10 on each skill.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong experience in testing Java-based microservices

- Experience with Kafka or any other publish-subscribe messaging tools

- Frontend testing experience using React.js, or similar frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js

- Automation Testing experience using Java

- Minimum 4 years of experience in automation testing

- Hands-on experience with Playwright for browser automation

Good to Have Skills :

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Role Overview / Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with a solid background in both backend and frontend testing.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in testing Java microservices, working with Kafka (or other messaging systems), and automation frameworks.

A proactive mindset, strong coding skills in Java, and an ability to test modern web applications built using React or similar frameworks are critical to this role.

Key Responsibilities / Job Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for Java-based microservices

- Perform end-to-end testing of frontend components using React, Angular, or Vue

- Validate message flows and service integrations using Kafka or similar tools

- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and preferably Playwright

- Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD test automation integration

- Identify, document, and track bugs while ensuring comprehensive test coverage

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving test strategies and best practices

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
