Job Summary:
The Senior SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) Tester is responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies for the SailPoint IIQ platform with a focus on functional, automation, integration, and performance testing. This role ensures the quality, scalability, performance, and reliability of IAM solutions in complex enterprise environments. The tester will work closely with IAM engineers, developers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to validate identity lifecycle processes, access governance controls, and system performance under load.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Leadership:
- Define and own end-to-end test strategy for SailPoint IdentityIQ implementations and enhancements
- Lead testing efforts across functional, regression, automation, integration, and performance testing phases
- Review requirements, technical designs, and user stories to ensure testability and adequate coverage
Functional & Integration Testing:
Design and execute test cases covering:
- Identity lifecycle management (Joiner, Mover, Leaver)
- Access requests and approvals
- Role modeling and entitlement assignments
- Access certifications and attestations
- Provisioning and de-provisioning across integrated systems
Validate integrations with connected systems, including:
- Active Directory / Azure AD
- HR systems
- Databases (JDBC)
- Cloud and enterprise applications
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with access governance policies
Test Automation:
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for SailPoint IdentityIQ
- Automate regression and smoke test suites for critical IAM workflows
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines where applicable
- Continuously improve automation coverage and efficiency
Performance & Scalability Testing:
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests for SailPoint IdentityIQ
Validate platform performance during:
- Large-scale identity aggregations
- Bulk provisioning and de-provisioning
- Certification campaigns with high user volumes
- Analyze performance metrics, including response times, throughput, and resource utilization
- Identify performance bottlenecks and work with IAM engineering and infrastructure teams to optimize performance
Defect Management & Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Perform root cause analysis and validate fixes
- Provide detailed test reports, quality metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders
Compliance & Release Support:
- Support IAM releases, upgrades, and patches with full regression and performance validation
- Assist audit and compliance initiatives by validating access controls and governance processes
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and organizational quality standards
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ testing
Deep understanding of:
- Identity lifecycle management and access governance concepts
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
Proven experience in:
- Test automation
- Performance testing (load, stress, scalability)
Knowledge of:
- Active Directory / Azure AD
- LDAP fundamentals
- SQL and data validation
- REST APIs and web services
- Ability to analyze SailPoint, application, and system logs (Java/Tomcat)
