Senior / Lead AWS Cloud Engineer

Location : Kochi, Pune, and Chennai.

Experience : 8+ Years.

Type : Full-time.

We are looking for a Senior or Lead AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong foundation in software development, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in building modern, scalable cloud-native systems.

Your Role and Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native applications on AWS.

- Lead implementation of containerized environments using Kubernetes (EKS/OpenShift).

- Automate infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK.

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production-ready, high-quality solutions.

- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code/architecture reviews.

- Optimize performance and ensure observability using tools like Datadog.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- AWS or other Cloud Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Must-Have Skills (5+ Years) :

- Proficiency in modern programming languages : TypeScript, Python, Go.

- Strong experience with AWS Serverless (e.g., AWS Lambda).

- Deep understanding of AWS-managed databases : RDS, DynamoDB.

- Hands-on with Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS, or OpenShift.

- Proven CI/CD experience with tools like GitLab CI, GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD.

- Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence.

Should-Have Skills (3+ Years) :

- AWS networking : API Gateway.

- AWS storage services : S3.

- Exposure to AWS AI/ML (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Amazon Q).

- IaC tools : Terraform, AWS CDK.

Nice-to-Have Skills (1+ Year) :

- Experience with Amazon Connect or other Contact Center solutions.

- Use of HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.

- Knowledge of Kafka, Amazon MSK.

- Familiarity with multi-cloud (Azure, GCP).

- Experience with monitoring tools : Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic.

- Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.

- Knowledge of SSO technologies : OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML.

- Working knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
