Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Java development and DevOps practices, ideally in insurance or financial services projects.

The role requires a strong background in building scalable Java-based applications and integrating DevOps workflows to support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud-native operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications in a microservices architecture.

- Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

- Work closely with business analysts and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.

- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

- Manage infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

- Configure and maintain Docker containers, orchestration with Kubernetes or EKS/AKS.

- Monitor, log, and alert using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.

- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams for deployments in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

Required Skills :

- 8 to 10 years of total experience in software development and DevOps roles.

- Strong programming skills in Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs.

- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools: Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS or Azure).

- Experience in automated testing, build/release cycles, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API security.

- Must have worked on insurance-related projects (P&C, Life, Health, Claims, or Underwriting systems).

Nice to Have :

- Familiarity with policy admin systems, insurance workflows, or regulatory compliance.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.

- Experience with service mesh, feature toggling, or blue-green deployments.

- Knowledge of API Gateways, OAuth2, or OpenID Connect.

- Relevant certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, Java SE/Spring Professional
