About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and Oracle Database, with experience building enterprise-grade microservices and modern backend solutions.

The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable applications while contributing to architecture, code quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience with Go (Golang) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate.

- Develop secure and high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Design and optimize database interactions using Oracle SQL.

- Integrate applications with messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ or Apache Kafka.

- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.

- Conduct code reviews and contribute to application architecture and technical design discussions.

- Modernize and enhance legacy applications while ensuring backward compatibility.

- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and development best practices.

- Contribute to CI/CD automation and DevOps initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.

- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA.

- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, and query optimization.

- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments.

- Experience with Git, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.

- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
