Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure professional to lead, scale, and secure the technology backbone of our fast-growing fintech organization of around 1000 employees. The role requires a seasoned leader who can oversee infrastructure operations, information security, compliance, audits, cloud & on-premise systems, data governance, and networking, while enabling business agility, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Infrastructure & Operations :

- Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure (servers, storage, network, cloud, endpoints).

- Manage hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem), including Linux/Unix and Windows servers.

- Ensure 24x7 availability, scalability, and performance of production systems.

- Reporting for availability, scalability, capacity planning.

- Implement ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.

- Capacity planning, cost optimisation, vendor & AMC management.

2. Compliance :

- Ensure compliance with RBI, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR (if applicable).

- Closure of VAPT data points with respect to infrastructure

- Ensure Patch management of the infrastructure.

- Manage disaster recovery drills.

- Implementation of new guidelines as released by the regulator.

3. Networking & Connectivity :

- Manage enterprise-wide LAN/WAN, VPNs, SD-WAN, firewalls, proxies, and load balancers.

- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and monitoring of connectivity across branches, data centers, and cloud platforms.

- Define network segmentation, zero-trust frameworks, and security zoning.

4. Cloud & On Premise Platform Management :

- Drive cloud strategy (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring cost efficiency and resilience.

- Oversee containerization, Kubernetes clusters, and DevOps pipelines (in collaboration with engineering).

- Define backup, DR, and BCP solutions across cloud/on-prem workloads.

- Backup, restoration and reporting of vms, databases.

5. Governance, Risk & Audits :

- Prepare and lead internal & external audits (ISO, RBI, PCI-DSS, SOC2).

- Implement IT GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) processes.

- Track audit remediation, and continuous improvements in infrastructure.

6. Team Leadership :

- Lead and mentor teams across IT Ops, Networking, Security, Support & Admin.

- Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.

- Develop training programs for infra/security awareness across employees.

Key Requirements :

Education & Certifications :

- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.

- Preferred : CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCNP, AWS/Azure Cloud Architect, ITIL, ISO 27001 LA.

Experience :

- 12-18 years of IT Infrastructure experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record in fintech, BFSI, or other regulated industries.

- Strong expertise in :

- Linux/Unix, Windows Servers, Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)

- Networking (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper)

- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)

- Security tools (SIEM, DLP, IAM, Endpoint Protection, SOC Ops)

- Database infrastructure (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL)

- ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Jira/Remedy)

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation.
