JD-Senior IDMC Developer

Highly skilled Senior IDMC Developer with strong expertise in ETL development, SQL programming, data integration, and cloud-based data pipelines. The ideal candidate will design, build, optimize, and support end-to-end data integration workflows using Informatica IDMC/IICS, ensuring high data quality, performance, and reliability across enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

1. ETL / IDMC Development :

- Design and develop IDMC/IICS mappings, taskflows, data synchronization tasks, and ingestion pipelines.

- Implement complex transformations including joins, lookups, aggregations, expressions, and CDC logic.

- Build parameterized, reusable, modular ETL components following best practices.

- Develop mass ingestion and real-time integration using Application Integration (API), CDI, CDC, and Mass Ingestion services.

2. Data Pipeline & Integration :

- Integrate various source systems including SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, SAP, APIs, REST/SOAP services, flat files, cloud storage (Azure/AWS/GCP).

- Implement data quality rules, validations, and exception handling using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) & IDMC features.

- Coordinate with data architects to build data pipelines for DWH, Data Lake, and Lakehouse environments.

3. SQL & Performance Optimization :

- Write complex SQL, stored procedures, window functions, and analytical queries for transformation and validation.

- Tune IDMC mappings, pushdown optimization, partitioning, and performance troubleshooting.

- Optimize data loads for large datasets, incremental pipelines, and CDC operations.

4. Cloud & Automation :

- Work with cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP for data ingestion, storage, and orchestration.

- Implement automation using REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment groups.

- Manage connections, parameter files, secure agents, and environment configurations.

5. Testing & Deployment :

- Perform unit testing, defect resolution, regression validation, and production readiness checks.

- Support releases, deployments, and production troubleshooting.

- Document technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and support runbooks.

6. Collaboration & Leadership :

- Work with cross-functional teams : data engineering, BI, product owners, and business analysts.

- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and participate in code reviews.

- Ensure delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions aligned to enterprise standards.

Technical Skills :

- 6 to 10 years of experience in ETL development, with at least 4+ years in IDMC/IICS.

- Hands-on expertise in :

o Mapping Designer, Taskflows, Mass Ingestion, CDI, and Application Integration

o Parameterization, reusable components, and REST/SOAP API integrations

o Cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)

- Strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, query tuning, and indexing strategies.

- Knowledge of DWH concepts : SCD (Type 1/2), Fact/Dim modelling, CDC, partitioning.

- Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments.

- Experience with Informatica Secure Agent installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Informatica Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) and Data Governance tools.

- Exposure to Python, ADF, Databricks, or other data engineering tools.

- Understanding of Lakehouse architecture : Delta Lake, Iceberg, or Unity Catalog.

- Knowledge of API integration, streaming (Kafka/Event Hub), and microservices.

Educational Requirements :

- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Informatica IDMC/IICS certification is a plus.
