Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IBM DataPower Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience. This role is for a key project in the insurance domain, and the ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting services using IBM WebSphere DataPower appliances.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement services using IBM DataPower (e.g., XML Firewalls, Web Service Proxies, Multi-Protocol Gateways).

- Implement security policies, configure SSL/TLS connections, and ensure secure data exchange.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize services on IBM DataPower.

- Integrate IBM DataPower with external systems and applications including IBM MQ, Kafka, and various data formats.

- Create and manage XML Schemas (XSDs), JSON Schemas, and transformation logic using XSLT and WTX (WebSphere Transformation Extender).

- Develop and maintain transformations such as JSON to XML, XML to JSON, and JSON to SOAP.

- Understand and implement DataPower services such as Multi-Protocol Gateways, Web Service Proxies, and Firewalls.

- Diagnose and resolve service-related and configuration-related issues.

- Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional technical teams for integration and deployment activities.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere DataPower appliances.

- Expertise in XSLT, XSD, and WSDL development and management.

- Experience in configuring and managing SSL/TLS and implementing secure communication protocols.

- Practical experience in integrating DataPower with IBM MQ, Kafka, and working with diverse message formats.

- Proficiency in WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX).

- Familiarity with monitoring and performance tuning of DataPower services.

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in a complex enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to the Insurance domain or similar regulated industries.

- Ability to lead and coordinate technical teams and resources effectively.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
