Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Functional Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the software functions as intended through meticulous manual testing and defect identification. You will work closely with development, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and validate the functionality of delivered features.
Key Responsibilities :
- Understand and analyze business requirements, user stories, and use cases to create detailed test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of web/mobile applications and backend systems.
- Identify, log, and track bugs in issue management tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Validate data consistency and backend processes using SQL queries.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Drive UAT (User Acceptance Testing) coordination with business teams.
- Contribute to test documentation and process improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior QA team members and conduct peer reviews of test cases and execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in functional and manual testing of enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
- Proficient in writing and executing detailed test cases and test scripts.
- Experience in validating APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data in relational databases.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
