Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead technical design and end-to-end delivery within an agile product squad.

This role combines hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and people management responsibilities.

You will be responsible for building secure, scalable, reliable, and accessible digital products using modern backend and frontend technologies.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Spring Boot microservices (Java/Kotlin) and React/TypeScript, along with cloud deployment experience.

This role also includes mentoring engineers, improving engineering practices, and collaborating closely with product, design, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Full Stack Engineering Leadership :

- Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of complex product features across backend and frontend systems.

- Drive technical excellence within the squad while maintaining engineering standards.

- Own solution architecture aligned with enterprise patterns and engineering best practices.

- Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for major technical decisions.

Backend Development :

- Design and develop microservices using :

i. Spring Boot

ii. Java

iii. Kotlin

- Build REST/OpenAPI services.

- Integrate backend systems with data stores and enterprise services.

- Deploy containerized services to Microsoft Azure Container Apps.

Frontend Development :

- Build scalable web applications using :

i. React

ii. TypeScript

iii. Shared design systems

- Micro frontend architecture

- Nx workspace patterns

- Deploy applications on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps.

Operational Excellence :

- Own service reliability through SLOs, SLAs, monitoring, and incident response.

- Improve MTTR and system resilience.

- Build dashboards, alerts, tracing, logging, and runbooks.

- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

Security & Compliance :

- Apply secure coding practices and threat modeling.

- Ensure privacy, auditability, and regulatory compliance.

- Implement accessible user-facing features aligned to standards.

Team Leadership :

- Mentor and coach 1-2 full stack engineers.

- Conduct code reviews and design guidance.

- Support career growth and capability development.

- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers on roadmap delivery.

AI-Assisted Engineering :

- Use approved GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot responsibly.

- Validate AI-generated code for quality, security, and maintainability.

- Improve productivity through smart engineering workflows.

Required Skills & Experience :

Backend Expertise :

- Strong experience building Spring Boot microservices in Java or Kotlin.

- Experience with :

i. REST APIs

ii. JSON / XML / SOAP integrations

iii. Distributed systems

- Containerized deployments

Frontend Expertise :

- Strong hands-on experience with :

i. React

ii. TypeScript

iii. Redux

- Building performant, accessible, and maintainable UI systems.

Cloud & DevOps :

- Experience with major cloud platforms :

i. Microsoft Azure (Preferred)

ii. Amazon Web Services

iii. Google Cloud

- Familiarity with :

i. Kubernetes

ii. Jenkins

iii. Azure DevOps Pipelines

- Git workflows

Engineering Practices :

- Test Driven Development (TDD)

- Refactoring legacy systems

- Code quality improvements

- Secure coding (OWASP principles)

- Performance optimization

- Microservices architecture

Database Skills :

- SQL and relational databases

- NoSQL databases

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to banking / financial services environments.

- Experience with regulated systems and compliance-heavy products.

- Knowledge of event-driven architectures.

- Experience with Node.js ecosystems.
