Key Responsibilities :

- Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and data flows, including data validation, transformation, and reconciliation between source and target systems.

- Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify large volumes of data across various systems.

- Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and functional requirements.

- Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, system integration, and data integrity testing.

- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development and data teams for resolution.

- Collaborate with ETL developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify data flows.

- Contribute to the automation of data testing processes where applicable.

- Provide detailed test status updates and participate in defect triage meetings.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3 to 9 years of hands-on experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.

- Strong experience in data validation, transformation, and reconciliation.

- Proficient in writing and executing complex SQL queries for large data sets.

- Working knowledge of at least one ETL tool such as : Informatica, IBM DataStage, Talend, or similar.

- Experience in functional, regression, and system integration testing within a data environment.

- Exposure to reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos) is a plus.

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling.

- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).

- Familiarity with test automation frameworks for data/ETL pipelines.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA or TestRail.

- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
