Engineering Operations Senior Associate Oracle Financial Reporting

Job Summary :


We are seeking an Oracle ERP Operations Analyst to support day-to-day financial close activities, ERP data integrity, and ERP maintenance processes across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), Inventory (INV), and supporting modules. The ideal candidate will work closely with finance, operations, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of key ERP activities - particularly focused on month-end close, data validation, and interface monitoring. Minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience

Job Title : Oracle ERP Operations Analyst Financial Close and Maintenance - Senior

Location : Hyderabad/Bangalore

Position Type : [Full-time/Contract]

Key Responsibilities :

Period Close Activities :

- Manage and monitor mass allocations, recurring journals, and GL revaluation.

- Perform GL opening and closing across primary and STAT ledgers.

- Handle validation of company setups for revaluation cycles.

- Support inventory, AP, AR, and PO period close processes.

- Upload and validate GAP & MOR exchange rates and ensure data accuracy.

- Oversee quarterly/yearly processes like STAT Rollover and Primary Ledger Rollover.

Maintenance & Interface Monitoring :

- Maintain and monitor GL and AR interface processes, resolving any invalids.

- Upload and validate OCM external statements.

- Oversee ServiceNow case resolutions in coordination with internal teams.

- Maintain EB Tax workflows, customer/vendor affiliate setups, and intercompany shipping configurations.

Standards and Data Operations :

- Maintain installation, warranty, and revenue standards in AR.

- Enable and maintain GL combination rules when needed.

- Perform bulk setup activities during project onboarding/support.

- Work with SMAX/Siebel teams for AR/GL data coordination.

Ad Hoc Reporting and SQL :

- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot 70+ Oracle financial reports.

- Write and execute meaningful SQL queries for reporting, reconciliation, and audit purposes.

- Deliver high-quality extracts used by finance and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 4- 7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS

- Proficiency in GL, AP, AR, Inventory, and integration points with subledgers.

- Experience in period close and data validation routines.

- Strong skills in SQL, report writing, and data extraction techniques.

- Knowledge of interface handling, data cleanup, and reconciliation methods.

- Understanding of ERP tax workflows, revaluation cycles, and currency rate management.

- Experience with Oracle EBS Financials.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

- Experience with Oracle EBS Financials is essential.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and analysis capabilities.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and synthesize complex financial data.

- Ability to identify trends, variances, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

- High level of accuracy and precision in preparing and reviewing financial reports.

- Ability to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

- Ability to effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

- Ability to maintain a structured approach to documentation and reporting processes.
