Senior Engineer - iOS Platform

Project Overview :

Northern Trust is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Engineer to lead the End User Computing (EUC) team with a focus on MacOS and iOS platforms. The role will manage enterprise-level MDM and MAM infrastructure, integrate JAMF and Microsoft Intune, and deliver seamless digital workspace solutions for both on-site and remote employees.

Role & Responsibilities :

The Senior Engineer will :

- Evaluate, install, integrate, and monitor Apple devices and related software in a multi-vendor environment.

- Ensure compliance with organizational controls, standards, and policies.

- Design and deliver scalable, secure, and efficient EUC solutions.

- Lead device lifecycle management for macOS and iOS platforms, including deployment,

patching, and upgrades.

- Support MDM/MAM environments with JAMF and Microsoft Intune.

- Troubleshoot issues across MacOS/iOS, networking, Active Directory, and Azure AD.

- Collaborate with IT operations, security, and business teams to enhance user productivity.

- Document solutions and processes, ensuring adherence to ITSM models.

- Mentor junior engineers and foster a team-oriented, problem-solving culture.

Must-Have Skills :

- 7+ years of experience in managing and supporting MacOS/iOS environments.

- Hands-on expertise in MDM/MAM solutions (JAMF, Microsoft Intune).

- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).

- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise security best practices.

- Experience in multi-vendor IT environments.

- Knowledge of conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.).

- Familiarity with ITSM models (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Office 365 suite administration.

- Exposure to Azure DevOps (ADO).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent

experience).
