Description :
Role Overview :
- Enforce standards for access control, backup, patching, security, and operational governance
- Collaborate with backend and Automation teams on database operations, system reliability, and platform maintainability
- Support long-term cloud evolution while ensuring strong local and hybrid deployment capability
- Manage reliable infrastructure across local, hybrid, and cloud-connected environments (optional)
CI/CD & Release Engineering :
- Own CI/CD pipelines for platform services, edge agents, and solution deployment packages
- Standardize release versioning, rollback procedures, and deployment validation checklists
- Manage Docker-based containerized workloads; support Kubernetes orchestration where
applicable
- Improve deployment consistency, pipeline reliability, and environment parity across stages
- Reduce delivery time through automated build, test, and deployment pipelines
Automation & Platform Engineering :
- Drive automation of operational and deployment tasks using Python and Bash
- Build reusable deployment scripts, environment setup utilities, and internal DevOps accelerators
- Develop microservice-compatible deployment frameworks and integration tooling
- Leverage ML-assisted automation for anomaly detection, alert triaging, or deployment intelligence where applicable
- Improve developer productivity through self-service tooling, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
Project Delivery Management :
- Own end-to-end delivery planning for DevOps and infrastructure initiatives
- Define milestones, sprint goals, work packages, and delivery roadmaps
- Track progress, blockers, risks, and dependencies across parallel workstreams
- Coordinate timelines between software releases and field implementation schedules
- Drive delivery reviews, readiness checkpoints, and post-implementation reviews
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination :
- Act as the delivery anchor across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Field teams
- Manage vendor and partner dependencies that affect delivery timelines
- Present project status, risks, and forecasts to engineering leadership clearly and consistently
- Ensure clear scope, ownership, and acceptance criteria for all major deliverables
IoT, Edge & Integration Support :
- Support deployment for gateways, protocol adapters, and edge-connected systems
- Work with Automation and integration teams handling controller protocols such as BACnet, Modbus connectivity
- Ensure reliable data flow between devices, local environments, and central platforms
- Coordinate with field teams during site commissioning and post-go-live stabilization
Monitoring, Security & Reliability :
- Implement observability across infrastructure using tool for example Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent stacks
- Embed security practices - SAST, secrets management, container scanning, access control - across pipelines
- Drive incident management, root-cause analysis, and runbook automation
- Maintain production readiness with structured escalation workflows and recovery procedures

- 8 - 10 years in DevOps, platform operations, automation engineering, or infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on Python and automation experience scripting, pipeline building, tooling development
- Proven delivery ownership of engineering projects milestones, stakeholder coordination, risk management
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices-based deployment environments
- Background in automation frameworks, REST API integration, or backend platform tooling is a strong plus
- Exposure to IoT, edge deployments, Automation, or industrial systems is highly advantageous
- Cloud knowledge preferred for long-term direction; hybrid and local deployment experience is essential
Qualifications :
- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field
