Job Title : Senior Engineer API & Test Automation (Java, Selenium)

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based API development and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Selenium, REST API testing, and CI/CD integration, along with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring application quality, reliability, and continuous delivery in a fast-paced digital environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs using Java and Selenium.

- Perform API testing for RESTful web services using Rest Assured.

- Develop and maintain BDD-based automation frameworks using Cucumber or similar tools.

- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.

- Work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Ensure test coverage for functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.

- Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure using JIRA.

- Manage test cases and test execution using Zephyr or similar test management tools.

- Maintain test documentation and reports using Confluence.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality processes and automation strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8- 10 years of experience in software testing and automation.

- Strong experience in Core Java, API testing, and Java-based REST web services.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.

- Strong experience in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

- Proven experience with API testing using Rest Assured.

- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).

- Strong knowledge of Maven for build and dependency management.

- Working knowledge of Git for version control.

- Experience using JIRA and Zephyr for defect tracking and test management.

- Familiarity with Confluence for documentation.
