Job Summary :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Testing Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies (manual and/or automated) to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and systems. The role involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet quality goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review requirement specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on requirements.

- Execute manual and/or automated test cases and analyze results.

- Ensure full test coverage for functional, regression, performance, integration, and system-level testing.

- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.

- Participate in root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.

- Contribute to test automation framework development and scripting (if automation is in scope).

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers during all phases of the SDLC.

- Conduct peer reviews and provide mentorship to junior testers and interns.

- Maintain test environments and manage test data.

- Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and industry certifications (e.g., ISO, IEC, CMMI).

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.

- 4-8 years of experience in a software/system testing role.

- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- ISTQB or similar certification.

- Experience in working with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.

- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.

- Experience in validating safety-critical systems or working under IEC 61508 / ISO 26262 / DO-178C compliance (for embedded roles).
