We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for next-generation products. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in embedded systems, firmware development, real-time operating systems, and hardware-software integration. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable embedded solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Embedded Software Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems.

- Develop efficient, reusable, and reliable code in C and C++ for embedded applications.

- Implement software architectures aligned with product requirements and industry best practices.

- Optimize software performance, memory usage, and power consumption for embedded devices.

- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance.

2. System Design & Architecture :

- Define software requirements, specifications, and design documents.

- Contribute to embedded system architecture and technical decision-making.

- Evaluate and integrate third-party software components, middleware, and communication stacks.

- Ensure software scalability, maintainability, and compliance with coding standards.

3. Hardware-Software Integration :

- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to support board bring-up and system integration activities.

- Develop and debug device drivers and low-level software components.

- Interface with peripherals such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, and GPIO.

- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware interfaces, communication protocols, and system performance.

4. RTOS & Linux Development :

- Develop applications and drivers using Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, ThreadX, or Zephyr.

- Work with Embedded Linux environments, including kernel customization, bootloader configuration, and driver development.

- Optimize system scheduling, task management, and resource utilization.

5. Testing & Validation :

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation.

- Develop automated test scripts and debugging tools.

- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve software defects efficiently.

- Support product verification, certification, and compliance activities.

6. Documentation & Collaboration :

- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and release notes.

- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.

- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on embedded software best practices.

- Collaborate with product management, QA, manufacturing, and customer support teams.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.

- 5 to 10 years of experience in embedded software or firmware development.

- Strong programming skills in C and C++.

- Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and embedded architectures.

- Hands-on experience with RTOS environments.

- Knowledge of Embedded Linux, bootloaders, and device drivers.

- Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, and MQTT.

- Experience with debugging tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.

- Understanding of software development processes, version control systems, and CI/CD practices.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with ARM Cortex-M/Cortex-A architectures.

- Exposure to wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or LTE.

- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems.

- Familiarity with AUTOSAR, MISRA C standards, or functional safety standards such as IEC 61508 or ISO 26262.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
