Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Pondicherry. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing embedded software solutions for our cutting-edge robotics platforms. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, system architects, and test engineers throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment. Your work will directly impact the performance, reliability, and functionality of our robotic systems, ultimately enhancing our customers' operational efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop embedded software for real-time operating systems (RTOS) to control and manage robotic hardware components.

- Develop and maintain device drivers for various peripherals, ensuring seamless integration with the embedded system.

- Implement and optimize communication protocols over Ethernet ports for robust data exchange between robotic systems and external networks.

- Develop Board Support Packages (BSPs) for new hardware platforms, enabling rapid prototyping and development.

- Conduct thorough system testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects, ensuring high-quality and reliable performance.

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define hardware requirements and ensure seamless hardware-software integration.

- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automated testing, data analysis, and system configuration.

- Contribute to the development of software architecture and design documentation, ensuring clarity and maintainability.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in embedded software development using C and C++.

- Proven ability to design and implement device drivers for various hardware peripherals.

- Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) concepts and experience with RTOS implementations.

- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems development and kernel customization.

- Proficiency in Python scripting for automated testing and data analysis.

- Solid understanding of hardware implementation and debugging techniques.

- Experience with communication protocols such as Ethernet and TCP/IP.

- Ability to perform system-level testing and debugging to ensure software quality.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Pondicherry.
