Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud architecture (AWS), CI/CD automation, and infrastructure security, with a strong background in Python and Bash scripting. This role requires close collaboration with global engineering teams and a strong focus on reliability, compliance, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure for large-scale microservices platforms.

- Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.

- Perform Kubernetes cluster administration, including upgrades, CRDs, operators, and troubleshooting.

- Lead vulnerability management, security hardening, and remediation across infrastructure and platforms.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python and Bash.

- Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and cost optimization.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks such as PCI DSS and SOC 2.

- Follow and promote engineering best practices, including test-driven development, unit and integration testing, and code coverage.

- Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including design documents, runbooks, how-to guides, and README files.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 8+ years of engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering scalable, reliable systems.

- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for large-scale microservices deployments.

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration, upgrades, CRDs, and operators.

- Solid experience in Python and Bash scripting.

- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.

- Extensive experience with AWS public cloud architecture.

- Proficiency with Git-based version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).

- Experience working on large-scale system software development.

- Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI DSS and SOC 2 (preferred).
